March challenge - Feature a Creature

Welcome to our March challenge where this month our theme is..............

******Feature a Creature******

I thought I would check out of definition of a creature and was quite surprised by some of the inclusions in the Cambridge Dictionary: A living being especially an animal, land creatures large and small, flying creatures, prehistoric creatures, mythical and fantasy creatures and would you believe all of us as well!

So a pretty wide brief, but of course we do want to be able to see your creature focally in your stamping, not a tiny punched butterfly tucked in a corner and added as an after thought. Usual rules apply, you can enter up to three times, combine with other challenges, use any make of stamp......but can I please remind you.......

We are a stamping challenge so must see hand stamping as the focal element of your artwork, it can be a stamped image/s, large sentiment or quote.........the one exception is Penny Black Stickeroos. But no digi images and entries using them WILL NOT be eligible for prizes. It so upsets us to see names come out in the draw who are not eligible for a prize because they have not read the rules.

Penny Black invite you to explore their creative world and see for yourself why their rubber stamps, stickers, beautiful papers for scrapbooking, cardmaking and stamp crafting are everyone’s favourites. Their products are designed to integrate style and colour for creating the best handicraft projects ever. If you would like to be one of the first to hear about new products from Penny Black please click here to join the free club, plus their Facebook is full of activity and news.

Here are the lovely prizes from them this month, a super useful set of animal dies and two stamps from the Spring 2016 So Special collection which just arrived with me from across the pond................

Crafty Ribbons is a ribbon emporium, we are passionate about ribbons and want to share our fantastic ribbons with others. Our range of Christmas ribbons is second to none. Remember when we only used ribbons to add a bow to our hair, or tie up a birthday parcel ? Ribbons are now a "must-have" for all types of craft. Whether your project requires satin, sheer, silk, grosgrain, gingham or polka dot ribbon we have them all! Lots and lots of different colours in a range of widths. Need a little bit of ribbon inspiration - then have a look at our projects on our blog,or visit our Inspiration blog,or maybe join in with us at our Challenge blog. Go on, have a look... It's worth it !

is a Dutch owned craft manufacturer. The company was established in 1994 by Marianne Perlot and is based in the Netherlands. For years now, we develop all our products with much care and quality. We have a practical understanding of the needs of crafters, we integrate product development, design and customer service to bring fresh ideas and beautiful products to the craft industry. All to enable the consumer to make beautiful cards, scrapbooks and other projects and enjoy this wonderful hobby. We produce a wide range of products which represent a complete concept of paper crafts. There are different lines of stamps and dies with matching papers and materials to decorate your card or scrap. Products are chosen carefully for mixing and matching and stimulating creativity.

And we have an extra prize courtesy of our very own Sam.......................seems she got a bit over enthusiastic with her Penny Black stamps and found herself with a few repeats, wonder how on earth that could happen ?
And don't forgot the DT are always on the lookout for our next Guest Designer from entries using Penny Black stamps.

This month we are pleased to welcome Carol as our Guest Designer, she tells me she has a fondness for Penny Black Frogs and has used one of her favorites for her card......................

Our Guest Designer from Allsorts this month is Helene..........
